Ministry of National Mobilization to Continue Financial Support

Minister of National Mobilization the Hon. Dr. Orando Brewster has said that his ministry is in the process of implementing the La Soufriere Relief Grant phase two which will focus on family life education and client empowerment for five hundred (500) households from the red and orange zones.

Psychosocial Support And Gender Violence Awareness Major Part Of Post Eruption Recovery Efforts

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Mobilization, Social Development, the Family, Gender Affairs, Youth Affairs, Persons with Disabilities, Cooperatives, Community Development and Housing and Informal Human Settlement, Catherine Defreitas has said that the eruptions of the La Soufriere volcano have significantly increased the social vulnerability in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines especially among the displaced population. We Facilitate and identify alternative homes for abused children and the elderly. Liaise with child care agencies, regional and International. Prepare social inquiry report for the Court and relevant international agencies.
