Empowering communities through equity and inclusion for a sustainable and resilient future.

To promote the well-being and protection of families, advance gender equity, ensure the inclusion and rights of persons with disabilities, and strengthen labour systems through effective policies and partnerships.

Every year on March 21st, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing colorful and/or mismatched socks “Rock Your Socks”.

World Down Syndrome Day which is commemorated on March 21st annually, is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. March 21st is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosome. Members of the Cabinet wore their mismatched, colorful socks to show support and raise awareness.
