To promote the well-being and protection of families, advance gender equity, ensure the inclusion and rights of persons with disabilities, and strengthen labour systems through effective policies and partnerships.

With this being another Mantra adopted by the Ministry of National Mobilisation Et al.; the Ministry launches: ‘WEMPOWER’!

This initiative will educate approximately two hundred and forty (240) female participants, within the ages of 18 - 45 and between the zones of the North Windward to West St. George Constituencies.  The training would span over a three-month period and is scheduled to begin on September 18th, 2023 and end on or before December 18th, 2023.

Very pertinent skills & topics would be covered over the period such as: young women in leadership, economic justice, self esteem and body image, human rights, sexual and reproductive health, ending violence against women and building a woman’s dream.

‘WEMPOWER’ will also be extended to two schools within the above-mentioned zones and has earmarked eighty (80) female students to complete the programme. The participants are expected to attend the training from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekly.
