The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), in collaboration with the SimplyHelp Foundation, and the Wu Thun-Chih Foundation for Charity and Public Welfare, made donations to the Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, through the Ministry of National Mobilisation, Social Development, Gender, the Family, Persons with Disabilities and Youth. The ceremony took place at the Rillan Hill Community Centre on Friday, 20th March.
Remarks were delivered by His Excellency Calvin Ho, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; and Hon. Frederick Stephenson, Minister of National Mobilisation, etc. The Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry expressed appreciation for the donations. The initiative is geared toward assisting various persons and groups throughout the country.
SimplyHelp Foundation was founded in 2000 by founder and President, Tina Bow. It is a non-profit organisation located in Los Angeles, California, United States of America. Its mission is to relieve poverty by providing emergency, disaster, vocational training, and shelter and care for the homeless elderly.
SimplyHelp collaborated with the Wu Thun-Chih Foundation for Charity and Public Welfare in Taiwan and the Consul General Los Angeles to assist Vincentian families in 2017 and 2018.
