Students and Teachers who have made significant achievements under the Schools Cooperative Programme will be recognized for their efforts this week.
They will be honored by the Cooperative Department in the Ministry of National Mobilization at the National Schools Cooperative Awards.
The Department says the objectives of the Awards Ceremony are to highlight the importance of thrift in the growth and development of the School Co-operative Program; to acknowledge the tremendous financial achievements by several students in the Program and to recognize school cooperatives as a platform for early youth entrepreneurship.
The Opening Ceremony will hear brief remarks from several Senior Public Servants and Leaders in the Cooperative Sector.
The Awards Ceremony is being held as part of activities to observe Cooperative Month. The Ceremony will be held at the Peace Memorial Hall.
