Minister

Hon. Orando Brewster

There have been a rise in sexual abuse among young boys between the ages of 5 and 9 in many Caribbean countries.

This is according to Minister with responsibility for youth, Honorable Frederick Stephenson, as he delivered a message to mark the start of child abuse and awareness month.  The minister said that sexual abuse against boys often go unrecognised.

Minister Stephenson also said that the 'Break the Silence' initiative aims to protect children from abuse and to encourage them to speak out.

He further stated that  it is time to unite to end the abuse of children to ensure a safer SVG.
