The Ministry of National Mobilisation is preparing to hold a series of consultations as it continue its work on the implementation of the OECS Juvenile Justice Reform Project here.
These consultations will come as a follow-up to the recently held National Juvenile Conference which had participation from over one hundred and seventy local and regional delegates.
Local Co-ordinator of the Project, Merissa Finch-Burke, said that over the next couple of months they intend to hold consultations across the country to ensure that the program is successfully implemented locally.
She said that they will also roll out a major training program for parents, teenagers and the practitioners who would be responsible to ensure the day-to-day continuation of the program.
The project is being undertaken by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). It targets young people in the Eastern Caribbean, who have had to go through the Justice System.
