Thirty-one students from the Brighton Methodist, Stubbs, Calder and Argyle Government Schools have successfully completed the Children Against Poverty or CAP Behavior Modification Programme.
A release from the Agency for Public Information (API), states that the Programme, which commenced on 15th July, culminated on 31st July with a closing ceremony at the Stubbs Government School.
Speaking at the closing ceremony Co-ordinator of the CAP, Roger Young, said that the sessions focused on enhancing and improving attitudes, behaviors and self esteem of the children.
Mr. Young said that in 2013, the CAP programme incorporated the Behavior Modification element at both the Stubbs and Barrouallie Government Schools.
The CAP Co-ordinator noted that the Behavior Modification component of the programme is ‘not a one-off initiative’ as they will continue to hold these programmes in the years to come.
Mr. Young also disclosed that they will also be hosting an 'After-School Remedial Programme' for students.
