Empowering communities through equity and inclusion for a sustainable and resilient future.

To promote the well-being and protection of families, advance gender equity, ensure the inclusion and rights of persons with disabilities, and strengthen labour systems through effective policies and partnerships.

PPA training session:
As the Ministry of National Mobilisation launched the Participatory Poverty Assessment (the PPA); day 2 of the training engaged the participants in the importance of the PPA and participatory methodology.

The simulations conducted in the morning sessions looked at how to conduct the interviews and working as a team when working in the community. The trainees were broken into 4 groups that allowed for more practical application of the process.  The simulated activities provided the participants with first hand experiences and were provided feedbacks with the facilitators.

In the afternoon session, a transect walk with the community experts is being conducted to further enhance the simulated experiences in practical ways.
The Ministry will continue to update the public on the activities done during the training as it prepares to engage the communities for the PPA from the 1st of October 2018.
