Minister

Hon. Orando Brewster

The Ministry of National Mobilisation in collaboration with the Services Commissions Department is conducting a one week staff training workshop with members of staff of the Ministry of National Mobilisation during the period May 14th to 18th, 2018, at the Services Commissions Division’s training room from 1pm to 4pm.

Persons from within the Divisions of the Ministry of National Mobilisation have been broken into four groups to ensure the effectiveness of service delivery to the persons who are being retooled.

The Ministry of National Mobilisation, which houses the majority of the Social service provision and protection, social safety net programs of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, deals on a daily basis with a plethora of cases with persons from diverse backgrounds who visit the Ministry in hope of having services rendered.  The Ministry’s management, being cognizant of the fact that customer service is a critical component which can affect the effective delivery of services being provided, is being proactive in providing a retooling training for its staff to ensure an improvement in service delivery.

Leading facilitator, Director of Training at the Services Commissions Department, Myccle Burke, expressed his delight to be a part of the process to retool the Ministry’s staff, while at the same-time reminding those gathered that customer service is critical to the effective delivery of services within the Government Service.  He further challenged those gathered on Tuesday to make every effort to improve their standard of operations by becoming more adept in their delivery of the various programs and services which clients are desirous of receiving from the Ministry.

Other training sessions are planned for this year, as the Ministry attempts to improve the quality of services provided to its clients.
